Special seminar talk

During a special seminar on 25th January 2024, in the Nanoscience and Nanotechnology graduate program at KMUTT, we had the privilege of hosting Professor R. Geetha Balakrishnam from Jain University, Karnataka, India, for a captivating talk on “Defect Management Crucial to Suppress Phase Segregation in Tandem Perovskite Devices.” Her presentation shed light on crucial aspects of perovskite solar cell technology and defect control.
Perovskite solar cells have emerged as a promising technology for efficient and cost-effective solar energy conversion. However, to harness their full potential, it is essential to address the challenges posed by defect formation and phase segregation within these devices. The presentation covered the underlying mechanisms of defect formation and phase segregation in perovskite materials, cutting-edge research, and strategies for defect management and control, along with case studies and experimental findings highlighting the impact of defect suppression on device performance. The talk also explored prospects and potential applications in the field of nanoscience and nanotechnology.
The seminar provided a valuable platform for knowledge exchange and inspired thought-provoking discussions among attendees. We extend our gratitude to Professor R. Geetha Balakrishna for sharing her expertise and insights with us.
